Description

The name of my photo I just uploaded is again the product of my own imagination. I could not find a suitable name for the object elsewhere than the ID.

The curiosity of the image lies in the technical details. It was the first series of recordings where I launched the constellation remotely. The roof move hasn’t been resolved yet, so they helped pull it down for a phone call. I already did the rest on a tablet, using mobile internet. I don’t want to build complete independence for the telescope system yet, but remote control of the roof movement will solve a problem where I can actually even deploy the entire observatory to an even darker sky. You actually have the place.

Even though I started from a distance or just went out to the constellation to push the roof myself, it was also very cozy and exciting as the pictures gather and I was very curious how this recording would work. In my humble opinion, it didn’t get bad. I think 2-3 images had to be discarded, and the worst 20% was not taken into account by the program in averaging.
