Description

Purbach is a large, 118km and 3km deep impact crater. The crater walls show significant signs of wear. Especially the Southern and Western parts of the crater rim have been decayed. The crater floor is flat, and is strewn with smaller impacts. Approximately centrally is a ghost crater. If a central peak is present it can be assumed to be part of the ghost crater rim.

The Northwestern rim is broken by Purbach G. A crater with a diameter of 30km.
