IC443 ist ein galaktischer Supernova Überrest im Sternbild Gemini und etwa 5000 Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt.

IC 443 (auch als Quallen-Nebel und Sharpless 248 (Sh2-248) bekannt) ist ein galaktischer Supernovaüberrest im Sternbild Gemini, den Zwillingen. Im rechten oberen Bildbereich zeigt sich ansatzweise der schwache Emissionsnebel Sharpless 249. Der helle Stern Propus (Eta Geminorum) am unteren Bildschirmrand sticht imposant aus der Aufnahme heraus.

Insgesamt hab ich hier gut 6 Stunden Schmalbandaufnahmen und fast 2 Stunden RGB beisammen. Die RGBs leider mit etwas Seeing, die mach ich bei Gelegenheit mal neu.

Mit den Aufnahmen hab ich lange herum gespielt. Ich habe die RGB und Schmalbandaufnahmen via NBRGB in Pixinsight kombiniert. (War das beste Ergebnis, hAlpha und OIII trennen und separat bearbeiten dann zusammenfügen gefiel mir nicht...). Mit Starnet++ habe ich dann die NBRGB Combination von Sternen befreit und via Photoshop überblendet. Außerdem habe ich für ein besseres Ergebnis die NBRGB Ebene mehrmals mit (Luminaz)Masken und variabler Deckkraft überblendet. Soweit bin ich damit schon mal zufrieden, auch wenn da noch viel Luft nach oben ist :-)

I played around with the recordings for a long time. I combined the RGB and narrowband recordings via NBRGB in Pixinsight. (The best result was I didn't like separating hAlpha and OIII and then editing them separately ...). With Starnet ++ I freed the NBRGB Combination from stars and blended them in Photoshop. I also blended the NBRGB layer several times with (Luminaz) masks and variable opacity for a better result. So far I am satisfied with it, even if there is still a lot of room for improvement :-)
