Description

Here is my setup during the summer camp that I carry out every year in a very dark site (SQM 21.6 / 21.8 ) from which I get the data that I will process over the following months. Piano Visitone is in the Pollino National Park at 1400m altitude and has been frequented for some years by amateur astronomers from Southern Italy.

I was among the first to discover the place, in fact that between July and August was my 26th camp.

Years ago I carried everything with me, for some years now I prefer to bring a really light and fast equipment, consisting of an EQ5, a platform for telephoto lenses and guide telescope (with which I perform some views) and an observatory tent supplied by TecnoSky . This set-up is really comfortable and offers a pleasant climate all night long. Automatic aiming and guiding systems are not required.
