Description

The Pacman Nebula (NGC 281) was planned to be my second target for the night, however California Nebula was too close to nearly full moon so dedicated the whole night to Pacman instead. It was conveniently near zenith and hence less affected by Bortle 8 skies and the moon. Guiding was very smooth throughout the night and for the first time managed to perform meridian flip successfully and continue guiding. I'm pleasantly surprised that there's some colors in the stars unlike previous images - not sure what's different this time. Overall I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

Modified Canon 1100d @ ISO 1600, ToupTek Toupcam G-1200KPB mono guidecamera. Lights: 79x180". Calibration: 40 flats, 20x180" darks, 20 dark flats, 20 bias.

Thanks for watching and clear skies!
