Description

M57 is a special planetary nebula for me. I discovered this object when I was 16 years old using my own created pyrex glass mirror 'Newton' scope. Using pipes, wood, cardboard tube, the mirror and optic was great. I guess, that is how a passion for the stars is created. With this primitive Newton scope, I recall seeing one star in the ring.

IC 1296 'barred galaxy' can be seen, NW of M57.

M57 is small, with an angular size of 1.5x1 arcminutes.
