Description

Officially known as IC 405, the Flaming Star Nebula lies about 1500 light years from Earth and spans about 5 light years.
IC 405 is a nebula made up of mostly Ha and  Sii.  There is some Oiii but it doesn't show much structure, so unless you scramble the palette this nebula is mainly red.
I processed this object using two different palettes -
1. The SHO hubble palette with the stars removed.
2. A custom palatte that really brings out the red.
The outcomes are as different as night and day, I like both results.
