Description

In August 2022 my friend Robert and I decided to collaborate on this beautiful target of Dust and Gas Clouds in the constellation Cepheus.
As I just switched from my Zwo Asi 2600 MC Pro to the MM Pro and only had the H-Alpha filter available at the beginning, it was clear that I will collect as much H-Alpha as possible until the other filters were shipped, while Robert was collecting all the RGB data with his William Optics FLT 132 and his QHY 268C.
In two moonless nights at the beginning of September we were lucky enough to already collect most of the data.
The missing Luminance and OIII data I just added a few days ago in another moonless night.

This target in Cepheus contains a lot of different object types in a relatively small field of view.
On the middle left of the image you can find vdB 152, an eye-catching reflection nebula in a distance of about 1400 light years, which is situated on top of the big dark nebula Barnard 175.
Glowing in red and blue, the emission nebula Dengel-Hartl 5 is located on the middle right of the image. Originally this nebula was classified as a planetary nebula because of the only blueish star in about the center of the nebula - a white dwarf.
As of today, it is likely that the white dwarf is just "making his travel" through an interstellar cloud of hydrogen and oxygen, ionizing the gas around him.
Also, the fine remnant filaments of a big star explosion are making their way through the image on top - the Supernova Remnant SNR 110.3+11.3.
