Description

A very brief gap in the clouds allowed only 3 hours on this nice little group of galaxies near the very bright star Castor.
Nevertheless, Abell 586 is a rarely imaged galaxy cluster, some 2.5 billion lightyears distant. Its brightest member is approximately 4 times larger in diameter than the Andromeda galaxy. The cluster has a mass of about 450 trillion solar masses.
