Description

On this evening I pitched my chair on the beach and noticed the pleiades slipping between the trees to the east. This was an early morning shot in October of 2020, and so was the first chance to see this group of stars (M45). I noted the Hyades below them, and drawing a straight line from these two groups to altitude, was able to see M31.

This is a simple one frame image of 60 seconds @ ISO 800 with a Canon 60D.

The aurora were very active and the left lower segment of the image is quite "polluted" with auroral green glow.
