Description

This face-on spiral galaxy is located In the Triangulum constellation which is high in the sky during Autumn. M33 is approximately 3 million light-years from Earth and is part of the Local Group of galaxies which also contains the Andromeda as well as our own Milky Way galaxy. It is estimated to contain 50 billion stars and is about 50,000 light-years in diameter.
