NGC 2070 Tarantula Nebula

Description:
- The NGC 2070 Tarantula Nebula is 160 thousand light years away and is in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC).
- The LMC is one of our closest galaxies outside the MIlky Way. In a dark sky area, it is visible to the naked eye at night as a "cloud" to the side of the Milky Way. The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), another galaxy, is visible as a smaller "cloud" near the LMC.
- The Tarantula Nebula is approx. 1,800 light years across.

Details:
- Captured on 11-Apr-22.
- Celestron Edge 11 (280mm aperture, focal length 2800mm, f/10), ZWO ASI1600MM Pro camera (cooled to -10 DegC),
- EQ8Rh Pro mount, ASIair.
- 10x 300sec captures of each of H, O and S narrowband images, using Astrodon filters (2.5 hours).
- 15x 300sec Darks, 30x Flats, 30x Flat Darks, 30x Bias.
- Processed in PixInsight and Topaz Sharpen AI.
- Image size and resolution reduced for Facebook
