Description

M42 - The Great Orion Nebula. Taken at Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City. 120 stacked images taken in a 20 minute session. No post-processing.

Earlier in the year I posted an image of M42 taken with my eVscope 2. It’s interesting to compare this one to that image and see the difference in how two different electronic telescopes capture DSOs.

I’m not sure why there’s the glow around the edges of the frame. I’ve got two images of M42 with my Stellina, both with that same glow. Taken on two different dates at two different locations. Are the gases around the nebula causing that? If anyone can explain that to me, please do.
