Description

I struggled with this one, tossed roughly half of the SII and OIII  subs out for two reasons. On the first night I shot Ha with no issues. I grabbed the wrong frame from Ha to platesolve on the second night ( I had moved the mount to better center the nebula and grabbed a frame prior to the move). Secondly, I started to get star trails after 6 subs, guiding assistant showed polar alignment way off. Re aligned, after a few subs trails again. Polar alignment off again.  Found a slight amount of play in the dec and had to adjust the worm engagement to get rid of it. I also found some play in the guidescope. Both the mount bracket and main scope rings are threaded and for some reason it had came loose. I could not get it to tighten back down, each time I tried there was one thread between the main scope rings and guide scope plate allowing a slight amount of wiggle. I drilled the threads out of the plate and bolted it back down adding washers. Super tight now and guiding has been between .44 and .56" since.
