Description

Omega Centauri holds fond memories for me, being one of the first objects I ever viewed through a telescope. It still remains one of my visual favourites due the countless stars and thoughts of its amazing properties.

I am mesmerised by its scale, with over 10 million stars and a combined mass of about 4 million Suns (on par with the Milky Way's supermassive black hole Sagittarius A*).

Other properties which I ponder are its ancient age of about 12 billion years, and how packed the stars are with an average spacing of only 0.1 light years.

Trying to improve from my previous acquisition and processing efforts!

Thanks for looking!
