Description

Two days after the Full Moon it was a clear night... We were about to release a new APT beta. So it was a good time to try something planned for a while - short exposures project.

I have spent some time on other targets making sure that everything with APT is OK for a release. After that scheduled M1 using 2min exposures. 90 of them look to give quite pleasing results, having in mind the Moon phase. However, the data size is quite impressive 4.5GB for just 3h integration...

M1 is a very special object for me - the very first deep sky object I read about decades ago. Looking at this image I think that finally I have a scope to make a serious project on it in the next season
