Description

37 unguided ten minute exposures. The reflection nebulae IC 427 and 428,  and NGC 1999, plus the Herbig-Haro objects 1/2 (bright patches and jets of nebulosity associated with newborn stars) in Orion, all close to the Orion Nebula, about 1 degree away, but many times fainter than M42. NGC1999 has an unusual keyhole shaped dark cloud or hole in it, which appears not to be a dust cloud as was first thought, but an actual empty hole in the centre of  the reflection nebula.
