Description

In the western part of the constellation Vulpecula one can find a large number of faint diffuse nebulae and dark clouds. Just north of the star cluster Cr 399, which is a wonderful binocular object, are the two reflection nebulae vdB 126 (= LBN 134) and LBN 133. At a distance of 2720 light years, dust clouds reflect the light of some stars that are not hot enough to ionize the clouds . The dark clouds LDN 767-769 form a background rich in contrast to the diffuse blue nebulae.
