Description

Finally after almost 2 months I'll saw a chance to make another image of the night sky. Always when I have a new Astro toy the weather becomes bad.... (at first the sky looked acceptable but later it became very worse stars were hardly visible, and I was curious how my filter would react with the almost full moon!) I bought a new flattener for my 80 mm refractor. So now I could test my new gear. Well it was a disaster, I could not get into focus so I removed a spacer.... First it seemed not so bad but when processing it looked terrible. The stars in de corners were even biggers stripes then before. Anyway, I cut lots of stars and this is the result. I have to admit that the focal reducer/flattener was not mentioned to be used with my refractor so it has to be fixed some way, .
Next time I'll use my Newton.
