Description

NGC 1555 is a quite strange target, it is a socalled Herbig–Haro (HH) object, a nebulosity associated with newborn stars. It is sometimes known as Hind's Variable Nebula, after the astronomer who discovered it in the 19th century. This nebulosity is a variable illuminated by the star T Tauri.

As bad weather and professional commitments prevent me from doing some pictures in my Normandy's observatroy 100 km away from my home in Amiens I decided to buy data from Insight Observatory. I did not use the L layer, 10x300s each RGB. Taken with the  f/3.7 astrograph reflector (ATEO-1).

Looking at this picture I cannot help but think about our human body which is 96% composed of four elements : hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and carbon. A human cell has about 10e14 atoms and a human body about 10e14 cells. One estimates the number of galaxies in the known part of the universe to some 10e11. Amazing, isn't ? Why we don't teach this to all kids on this planet ?
