Here we have M13, the Great Cluster in Hercules.

This was done durang an almost full moon. I have a difficult time wasting a nice night and of course, with the quarantine I have some time.

The gradients were an issue and I did leave some data on the table so to speak, but I am reasonably pleased with this one despite those problems. I really like the wider FOV of this because it includes the spiral galaxy near the top of the image NGC6207. I was pleased that a little of the details within this one came out in the image.

Description: I tried some different DBE strategies to improve the gradient problem and it seemed to work a little better. That allowed me to stretch the image just a little bit more resulting in, I think, a little better result...

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
