Description

APOD nicknamed this supernova remnant the Medulla Nebula for its brain-like shape,
I just can't unsee the burst balloon here, so I titled it the Popped Balloon Nebula like others here on Astrobin.

The final project with my beloved ASI 1600MM camera and it's a big one. This is one of those projects I couldn't finish last year, I simply did not have enough data for a satisfactory project and for what I had envisioned when I started it. Fortunately we had around 10 good nights between October and November of this year to capture lots of data.

If you're interested have a look at my website for the starless image.

Now I'm looking forward to image with Sonys (not so) new CMOS Sensor which seems like a perfect match with my Celestron RASA 11", promising first light and lots of fun projects to come in 2022.

Happy new year everyone!
