Description

NGC 5128 - Centaurus A, also known as NGC 5128, is a peculiar lenticular galaxy in the constellation Centaurus, which appears to be an elliptical galaxy with a huge superimposed dust lane. It is one of the closest radio galaxies. Taken with my new UnistellareVscope 2 at the OKCAC’s Cheddar Ranch Observatory the night of 30 April - 1 May 2022. This was the third night out with my eVScope 2. EV mode, auto settings, no post processing. I’m estimating Bortle 5 skies. Weather was clear, light to no wind, temperatures started at about 72F and dropped to about 65F by 0230.
