Description

Target chosen to get a good star field for corrections.  Image still not what I had with a Tak 180ED but I think I see how to get there.

"B" is a close up of the tilt plate with a 0.4 mm feeler gauge inserted between two of the sets of push-pull screws.

Point is that there is a gap of 0.4mm and the critical focus zone (CFZ) is about 0.1mm for this scope.  Very easy to get lost in this gap.  Using the gauges allows precise adjustment.  Spacers that come with the scope for its image train are 1.0mm at smallest (10X CFZ).  Secondary market spacers go down to 0.4mm and do not measure that by calipers.

This image is with the ASI/Stellarvue backfocus at 94.0 mm.
