Description

This image is the product of a perfect storm if you will of excellent weather conditions.  During this imaging run, the city down below my location was experiencing some really thick Marine Layer type clouds.  The benefit for me is that it blocked the sky glow caused by the city lights.  It was so dark that my SQM reading was a 20.83.  On top of that,  the seeing was outstanding.  I typically am in the mid 2's FWHM.  For most of this data set the seeing was in the 1's and got down to my all time record of 1.3 FWHM.  I wish it were like this all the time.

This is not my usual presentation as I decided to make it starless.  I took the stars out during my processing and really liked how it looked.  There was so much detail in the clouds, that I didn't want to clutter it up with star images.

The image is an HaSHO mix

137x300 sec Ha
119x300 sec OIII
115x300 sec SII
Total exposure time of 30.9 hours
