Description

LDN1217 is a dark nebula in the constallation Cepheus. This nebua is known as a Bok globule (a region where dust condenses to form protostars). On the left side of the image is the blue reflection nebula, vdB 152. The reflection nebula is illuminated by the bright star embedded within it.

This is a combination of images taken from my Bortle 4 Backyard and some from a Bortle 2/3 location over the course of about 3 months.  I had started this project back in June but got sidetracked and didn't get back to finish it until this month.
