Description

What will 2020 yield? I don’t know and feel trapped in the middle, but what I do know is I plan to complete a 2020 electoral college version.

I recently completed my RGB image of NGC 7000 and was curious if I could make an accurate representation of the 2020 electoral results. I decided to complete a map of the 2016 results. After completing the 2016 results, I choose to make 2012 version to be politically equitable.

I used the base RGB image (natural color) with red predominance. I then created a second image, but mapped the red channel to blue, green to green, and blue to red. This gave me a BGR image that I used clone stamp to place onto my original for the blue electoral states. This process replaces the initial image with the blue predominance to the exact pixel providing a new bicolor image true to initial image but with a different color pattern.

Next, I mapped the green to the red channel, red to green, and blue to blue. I then applied my SHO/ Hubble palate to this image to get a golden color to represent Canada and Mexico again using clone stamp to map to my original image.

Finally, I created a luminance image and used clone stamp to transfer the grayscale to the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, and the Great Lakes.
