Description

Solar glory [1] and Brocken spectre [2] observed from the mid-level observation platform of Aiguille du Midi (3,842m) mountain [3] (Chamonix Valley, France) in the cloud layer passing below (Jul 28, 2007; single ISO100 f/9 1/500s exposure with handheld camera). The shadow of the peak of the mounting with radio & TV tower on top is also visible in some of the images, projected on the slope and the clouds below.
