Description

Mosaic 3 panels.

This view simultaneously shows two craters that are undoubtedly the most well-known and characteristic of the lunar relief. At the top right, Copernicus and its radiant system are particularly visible and Kepler at the bottom left is also home to a radiant system.

On the dark bottom of the Sea of the Islands (Mare Insularum) intersect their light paths.

When I look at this image, I seem to see an imaginary planetary system with Copernicus as a Sun and Kepler a moon with here its ever-enlightened growing end. Between these two stars circulate a multitude of small craters symbolizing the planets.
