Witch's Broom Canon 500mm

First light with my new mount. The mount is working well I think, but there may be some issues with rest of the rig. My stars are still not very good, so I minimized them here. The tracking is pretty good, about .5 arc seconds rms, and some portions of the frame the stars are sharp. So I think the lens may have some aberrations and my self modded dslr I may have introduced some sensor tilt. The 100D is a pretty low end camera anyhow.
I also had some difficulties in figuring out how to mount everything. Since everything I use is regular photography gear and previously a tracker, it's all on arca-swiss type mounts. And I only had a mini 30mm guide cam. This would not work on the EQ6, mainly the way the guide cam was mounted under the mounting plate would interfere with EQ6's much larger saddle. Since I continue to use the tracker and the mini guider, I chose other parts I had on hand for the guiding on this setup. I did a side-by-side arrangement on a losmandy plate with the 500mm Canon and for guiding a 135mm Rokinon and my ASI178mc. Balance isn't perfect since I was limited in the available mounting holes, but its pretty close. I will improve upon it yet.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection.
