Description

It is time for another supernova!

Unfortunately, not all of the current ones are visible from my location, but I did catch one.

In NGC 7722 the Supernova 2020ssf is at about 15mag currently.

NGC 7722 in the constellation Pegasus is about 187 million light years away and a S0/a galaxy with a nice dust band.

Unfortunately I could only expose 8x120sec here and the galaxy itself is only about 1.5 arcsec small. Maybe someone with a longer focal length and more exposure time can make up for it? ;-)

The supernova is the small blue star right below the center (see magnification).
