      Description

Not far from the Carina Nebula and the Statue of Liberty Nebula lies the Southern Tadpole Nebula (GUM37).
A while ago I imaged the Statue of Libertry Nebula and decided to include a bit of nebulosity in the upper right of the frame which turned out to be a portion of the Southern Tadpoles (had previously heard of the nebula but didn't know where it was until someone commented on my picture saying "nice tadpoles").

So here is my image of the Southern Tadpole Nebula in SHO.
I also learned that the small bright orange oval object in amongst the open star cluster NGC 3572 is called a Photo-evaporating globule, said to be a remnant of the molecular cloud from which the stars of the star cluster were formed. The globule is illuminated by the ionising radiation from the star cluster and the globule will eventually be evaporated away by the radiation and solar winds of the nearby stars.
