Description

Once again huntig for supernovae B-)

A good task for moonlit nights.

I was able to image three of them this weekend SN 2021biz and SN 2021bbm, but this one was the most difficult.

Discovered 2nd of Jan it faded from an already very faint magnitude of 17th to almost invisible with my scope under the given conditions.

I suspect, however, that it is the small spot near the nucleus, just SE of the even smaller knot in the arm.

It's really hard to tell, even with the DSS comparison and inverted.

I leave it to you to tell me if this was a success or not, but I certainly had some fun with it ;-)

On a side note, NGC 3147 is a really nice SAbc-type galaxy for longer focal lengths and longer exposure times. Even in my 2.5h exposure you can find a lot of details in the spiral arms.
