Description

I was impressed by several SHO images of the Wizard that were posted last fall, so I gave it a shot over a couple of nights in November and December, before it got really cold here. I guess I did process it, but just as RGB data. It left me a bit blahh. I'm on a bit of a roll now, using the L-eNhance data to create HOO images and it really is kind of fun , and surprising how two different images live in the same data!

It really shows how much more powerful the Ha radiation is than ionized oxygen, and how variable it is from object to object. This is just over 4 hours total integration time; my Rosette image is only about half of that but was 'way different to process.

This is definitely the first go at this data, as there are a few issues I need to work on, but since I put in the work to this point, I thought I might as well put it up as another example of dual band imaging with an OSC camera. (OK, is it an OSC or a OSC--if you read it "an OH ESS Sea" it is correct; if you read it "a OneShotColour camera" it's correct--but how are you supposed to write it if you don't know how it's going to be read?! )
