Description

Although I have been producing images for almost a year now, this is my first upload which I think is acceptable. I started using my Canon EF 600mm II lens as a scope on my CEM70 in late 2020 and caught the bug so I decided to invest in a proper scope. With advice from Barry Wilson on here I invested in a Takahashi FSQ-85EDX (Baby Q) which I must say is mightily impressive and a huge improvement on my Canon. 

I live in West Devon, UK so I'm lucky to have Bortle 3/4 skies although the southerly view does suffer from a little light pollution from my nearby town. I chose M16 as my first target as it's such an iconic nebula, made famous as the Pillars of Creation by Hubble.

My first revision is a quick and dirty edit in PS but I will attempt a HOO palette once I've learnt the workflow in APP for extracting Ha and OIII from the Dual Band image using the L-eXtreme filter.
