Description

NGC 6205, also known as Messier 13 or the Great Globular Cluster in Hercules. With a distance of 25,000 light-years from our planet, boast over 100,000 stars. The core of NGC 6205, has a density of about a hundred times great than the density of our own star, the sun. 

Messier 13, was discovered in 1714 by English astronomer Edmond Halley and was added to Charles Messier's catalog in 1764. The Hercules Great Globular Cluster has a radius of 84 ly and its coordinates are RA 16h 41m and Declination Dec +36° 27′ 35″.

The image was captured in Bortle 7 skies, with a first-quarter moon visible in the sky.
