Description

I primarily capture and process NB objects, but when I get to a dark site and away from my light polluted northwest suburban Illinois skies, I like to capture LRGB objects. This is my second LRGB image, vdB141. vdB141 is a reflection nebula located in the constellation Cepheus. It's over 2 light years wide, and just under 1,500 light years away.

The overall sharpness of the image just doesn't seem to be there, and the stars are definitely saturated. In hind site, the image would benefit from more data and shorter exposures. That said, for just my second LRGB image, I am satisfied with it - for now :-)

Blue 27 images @ 60s

Thanks for looking.
