Description

I have come to the sad realisation, that in order to image Thor's helmet, I need at least of two out of the following three 1) a bigger telescope, 2) more integration time 3) better post-processing skills

At 5nights nights observing where I variously deleted data, observed with the wrong camera rotation, and the wrong gain - I ended up with around 12 hours in LRGBSHO (I have a 8-position filter wheel and I am not afraid to use it). I have tried to process half-a-dozen ways, posted it to Astrobin staging area (twice), put it into the public area (twice) and withdrawn it twice.

I tried SHO and it was awful. I tried LRGB and it was dull. I tried then both and at least it was .... interesting.

Since, for the sake of my sanity, I just have to stop now and publish it. Do your worst, Astrobin.

Description: Wow... what a difference a little bit more experience and improved post-processing tools (RC Astro) make. I honestly cant believe it is the same data.
