Description

My sky finally cleared at around 11:30 pm. I decided before I went outside that I was going to image NGC 404 Mirach's Ghost. This object is a small elliptical galaxy right next to the star Mirach. I don't know why but for some reason this object has always appealed to me. I've imaged it several times. It's a challenging object to view in an eyepiece. However I did accomplish that. I used my 8 Inch Dobsonian telescope. I had to crank up the magnification in order to increase the contrast.
