Description

One of my favourite targets just due to its spectacular nebulosity and detail. NGC 6188 or more commonly known as the Fighting Dragons of Ara is an emission nebula 4,000 light-years away from Earth in the southern constellation of Ara and is approximately 600 light-years across. This project entailed shooting a panorama mosaic consisting of 3 panels across to accentuate the dragons in battle. The base palette used was SHO (Hubble) with a bit of Ha blend in the Blue channel. I decided to remove the stars to highlight the detailed nebulosity.
