Description

This is an object I was curious about, and now I finally managed to image it. This is a pair of interacting galaxies, but some of the neighbours are interesting as well, like the one just to the left with the faint but very long tidal streams. It's abit like the Antennae Galaxies, only a bit more conveniently placed for northeners like me.

6 x 600s each for RGB and 24 x 600s Luminance were acquired in a single night. The flats I used were made a year ago, so I will have to redo processing... There also were some horrible gradients due to the neighbours indoor lighting early in the night and unfortunately I did not manage to get rid of all of them. Seeing was not great either, the measured FWHM was around 3 arcseconds. Still a special image to me.
