Description

Tarantula Nebula (NGC2070) In the Large Magellanic Cloud

Possibly my favourite nebula in my favourite galaxy (aside from our own).

One day I'll have a go at investing the time into preserving colour in the core a little better (though a small part is very nearly white clipped prior to even a little stretch), but I got "nebulosity fever" when I saw the channels combined and went for it, so here it is for now...

Roughly 14 hours across Hydrogen Oxygen and Sulphur

ED100 guided on EQ6R, ASI1600MM collecting the photons they channelled in.
