Description

This object is a double ring galaxy located 75 million light years away in the constellation of Ursa Major at a declination of +61 degrees. This galaxy spans 5.5 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to an actual diameter of 120,000 light years. The galaxy appears to us 30 degrees from edge-on in our apparent view.

I love the double ring structure. The inner ring has ansae at each end of a faint bar. The right ansae has a faint but interesting structure as well as a slight vertical dust lane.
