Description

NGC6340 is an unbarred spiral galaxy located in the constellation of Draco. The galaxy spans about 71,000 light-years across and is about 62 million light-years away. Also in this frame are other galaxies; IC1251, IC1254, PGC3086195, PGC59705, PGC2748159, PGC2748953, PGC2749453, PGC59839, PGC59847 & many other faint fuzzies. This was a very challenging galaxy to capture under the light pollution of the Bay Area!
