Description

This shot is of a dense group of galaxies along with a handful of foreground stars in Coma Berenices. Most of what you can see in this picture are elliptical galaxies that are far bigger than the Milky Way, each containing trillions of stars. They range from about 240 to 430 Million light years away from us. The whole Coma group of galaxies (1000 +) are said to be moving away from Earth at around 3,100 miles per second. I guess there's no speed limit out there.
