Description

This is my second attempt to capture Messier 63 the Sunflower galaxy. It just never ceases to amaze me that something nearly 30 million light years away can be observed even under bortle 8 skies. And every time there's some progress to be seen and new tricks to be found.

The image is far from perfect but decided to post it as a reference for my future attempts. After all, moments like these make this hobby really special.

Modified Canon 1100d @ ISO 1600, Altair GPCAM2 guidecamera on Omegon OAG. Lights: 56x300". Calibration: 40 flats, 20x300" darks, 20 dark flats, 20 bias.

As always, improvement suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks for watching, clear skies and stay safe!
