Description

M27 - The Dumbell Nebula. This is one of the first astro images I tried about a year ago when I first started this Astrophotography Journey. I decided to try my hand at it again. M27 is a planetary nebula in the Constellation Vulpecula and is located about 1200 light years away. It's basically a star the blew up and we get to see its expanding gas cloud..... This was shot on the same equipment as before but with time and some experience, I was able to get a better image.

This image resulted from 45 x 120 second captures. Captured with a William Optics 132 mm FLT APO scope on an IOptron CEM60 mount. Camera was a ZWO ASI294MC-Pro. Capture was done using Sequence Generator Pro and PHD2 Guiding. Processing was with DeepSky Stacker, Pixinsight, and Photoshop.
