Description

NGC 4725 is an intermediate barred spiral galaxy with a prominent ring structure, located in the  constellation of Coma Berenices near the north galactic pole. It was discovered by astronomer William Herschel on April 6, 1785. The galaxy lies at a distance of approximately 40  millions light-years from the Milky Way. It is the brightest member of the Coma I Group and suspected a type 2 Seyfert galaxy with a supermassive black hole at the core (extract from Wikipedia).

Well, as the new year starts, I felt strong urge to use my time machine again going back to spring 2017...No pandemic, fine weather, the good old times
Hope you can enjoy the picture, nowadays I would increase exposure time but the main structures are already visible.

Happy and peaceful New Year to all of you,

Andreas
