Description

This tiny object is about 5000 light years away in the constellation of Aquarius. Its approximate diameter is 0.5 light years. The central star has transitioned to being a white dwarf star of apparent magnitude 11.5. This is a small target - you can see from the technical data above that the field radius is 0.076 degrees.

I was trying to go for a home run here, revealing the inner detail of this bright object by taking 2500 short exposure subs. The bright inner structures tend to get blurred when using typical longer exposure subs. Although I didn't exactly strike out on this one, the result is not up to my expectations and is definitely not worth the large amount of extra processing work.

This object has a great example of ansae, which are the reddish star-like objects on each side of the polar axis of the nebula.
