The Butterfly Nebula is located around Sadr, at the heart of the Swan constellation. Also called the Sadr Nebula and not to be confused with the other Butterfly nebula NGC 6302. Very little information about it available. It has a nice contrast between the central dark nebulae and the bright emission nebulae that form the wings.
I coupled the Altair Astro Wave refractor with the 183MM in order to obtain a higher resolution and different field of view that leaves the impression of being surrounded by the nebula, flying above the viewer. The chromatic aspect was very difficult to process (I don't remember doing so many essays on another nebula) and it took me several days. I finally settled with this palette which seems to preserve the faint structures inside the wings without destroying the local contrast and transparency.
I also changed the Bortle zone from 8 to 7, according to clearoutside, probably a nice effect of the light extinctions policies at night around my location.
